Design Office of Integrated Research

The Design Office of Integrated Research investigates the possibilities of new integrated research merging the research activities of two Research Cores and those in the Tsukuba area. When an important issue tractable by a collaboration of these activities is found, the Office coordinates related research activities to found a Laboratory in the Center.

Another function of the Office is to plan and organize interdisciplinary seminars and schools to encourage collaborations and research exchanges acress the Divisions of the Center.

Laboratory for Mathematical Sciences

As the first Laboratory of the CiRfSE, "Laboratory for Inverse Problems" was founded in Sept 2014 to study issues in data analyses commonly needed in the Divisions of two Research Cores by applying latest methematical developments in inverse problems.

In Jan 2017, the Laboratory was reformulated into the "Laboratory for Mathematical Sciences" to prepare new collaborative exchanges in subjects in wider fields after the reorganization of two centers --TIMS and CiRfSE-- of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences planned in mid FY 2017. The Laboratory pushes forward integrated research shown below:

Laboratory for Development of Photon and Particle Detectors

As the second laboratory of CiRfSE, we found the Laboratory for Development of Photon and Particle Detectors.

This laboratory works as a base of development of the photon and particle detectors in the Center for Integrated Research in Fundamental Science and Engineering, to study and develop the photon and particle detectors commonly employed for studies in the two Research Cores.
